A few months ago, Louis Vuitton released their Cruise Collection 2012, modelled by the stunning Arizona Muse. Until now, I never really had the chance to fully appreciate the beautifully crafted and stylishly designed collection by Marc Jacobs. The Cruise line bridges the Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter shows, capturing Parisian essence with inspiration from American screenwriter and film director, Sofia Coppola.
The collection perfectly paints the picture of an effortlessly chic girl-about-town in the French Capital, sipping on a coffee at a cafe on the famed picturesque streets of Paris or lounging at a glamourous place to-be-seen, cocktail in one hand and a LV monogrammed clutch bag in the other. The line makes a statement with the classic nautical colours of white, navy blue, red and black accessorised with gold. The designs were of none other than the structured jackets, pleated skirts and dresses, cashmere cardigans, snake skin shorts, blue leopard print and sophicated lace tops all resonating of course, the trademark refined look of LV. No doubt, Marc Jacobs successfully mixed his brilliant craftsmanship with desirable details...definitely one of my favourite collections by Louis Vuitton!
